The response of the eight graph models to the random node selection failure model method. Each response is plotted with the y-axis showing the number of components and the x-axis showing the % of nodes removed from the graph, and thus the most robust graphs would show a small number of components, with any increase shown to the right of plots as x tends away from 0. Plots (a)–(d) show clear increase in the number of components to the right of the plots suggesting a robust response, whereas plots (e)–(h) show peaks much closer to the left and centre of the plots, suggesting a less robust response
