The swarm social interaction at the meso level is still overlooked by researches who often devote considerable efforts to understand how changing the simple rules at the micro level (e.g., procedures, equations) directly affects the collective behavior of the system at the macro level. In fact, these micro-level rules create the conditions to social interaction at the meso level which in turn enables the necessary swarm dynamics to solve complex problems at the macro level
