The plots show the degree, word count, tweet count, and edge weight distribution for the word co-occurrence networks corresponding to the tweets in favor of and against Hillary Clinton, as well as the combination of these two corpora. The inset shows the number of tweets with a given number of words, or equivalently, the histogram of the sizes of subgraphs, with each subgraph corresponding to a single tweet. The peak of this histogram at around 10 words per tweet explains the dip found in the probability distributions for node strength and degree
