The strong correlation between \({\tilde{\beta }}_2\) and C is entirely due to the particular structure of the mutual dyad motifs that contribute to each activity measure. In other temporal network representations, or when these motifs are not dominant, these activity measures will not remain correlated (cf. Figs. 19 and 21)
