The upper panel corresponds to the decision (by merits and just satisfaction) in the case Boyle and Rice V. the United Kingdom (1988) ; the lower panel corresponds to the decision in the case Edoardo Palumbo V. Italy (2001). The black dots correspond to the number of citations of the decision up to 80% of its total age, the red dots correspond to the remaining 20%, that were not used in the fit. The black curve with gray region correspond to the best fit of the 80% of the months along with the extrapolated 20%, showing an overall excellent predictive power
